@ hoyatables I have a bit of a Hoth theme going in my sons room right now (AT-AT, Wampa Cave and Battle Packs) and I just snagged the smaller Echo Base (7749) for $30 shipped on ebay. They all look great displayed together. Especially with the snowspeeder and speederbikes on stands so it looks as though they are in flight.… -

Agreed. Generally I think it matters how expensive the new set is compared to older sets AND if there are any figures that are only in that smaller, or earlier, set which could also impact the prices. I have a bunch of the old hoth #7749 sets with the tauntaun. Can only hope those will increase in price. Maybe it is… -

Just thought I'd say, this is one of the longest, and best threads on Brickset. I think Lego is extending the life of some high level sets to slow down the aftermarket value.
