Two things that I still use other sites for: 1) Peeron's Advanced Set Search. Sometimes, I know there's some (say) small town set that I'm looking for, but I don't know which one it was. With Peeron, I can use the Advanced Set Search to locate all sets that are within the town theme, between 10 and 100 pieces, contain at…

@Thimio777 Please emali me at
[email protected] about additional images, or post here. I'm curious to know if this set involved the same schoolroom primer as the larger 7100 Samsonite Educational Set. Thanks!

One day (after I finish my Volume II LEGO CD (1949-90s) in October, I'll be adding this set (among many others, some aren't even in Bricklink yet) to the Brickset database. It is the largest LEGO set of the 20th Century, that is completely unknown to most LEGO Collectors... the 1962-65 #7100 Educational Set, a USA…

@Glazefreak you have 2 different items... a #246 Town Plan board that was sold either separately, or came in the large #725 Town Plan cardboard box set. Your wooden box is indeed the #7100 Educational set. Here are several images (don't have higher resolution images unfortunately)... one shows the box w/ contents, and the…

All true LEGO boxes have to have a logo or image somewhere on the box. I've got images of 80 different wooden boxes, and never seen one with a leather handle, or that strange arrangement of compartments. I think it's either a non-LEGO box that was filled with circa 1965-75 basic and model sets, and spare parts packs... or…

It is hard to believe that there is an ever larger USA/Canada Samsonite LEGO wooden box set than the 750 set... but there was... the 1962-65 7100 set, largest 20th century set ever produced, with 3250 pieces! Thanks for the pic of the 750 set @Samsonite ! Please email me at
[email protected] I want to get your name so…

I believe it is correct that first to break 1,000 pieces was an educational set, but the not the one shown here. 7100 is more twice as large as 1034 and predates it by 20+ years. Very interesting overall. The graying trend is interesting. The minor color increase is pretty self evident, but is fun to have a visual of.…

Hi folks, I'm back... had another scare and had to go to the emergency room and get hospitalized again... but it was a reaction to some medicine I was taking... I owe some of you some Bricklink stuff for a while (and some EMAIL replies). Just overwhelmed... but one thing about my Bricklink shipping... the longer you have…

If you are looking for any logic to set numbers, I can tell you from years of experience that there is none. If there are ranges of sequential numbers... then TLG will follow a logical sequence much of the time... other times the numbers bounce around. When LEGO brick sets first started in 1949 all sets started with a…
