Just picked up the 60197 train and am now looking at getting a Winter Train and doing a motor retrofit like the original poster. Is it possible to buy the Powered Up motor without buying a full set? Or is it more cost effective to buy an additional 60197 for the extra motor, and extra track?

Thanks, tracks in my basket! So just seen on YouTube someone used the train #60197 to power up #10254, getting the power, extra track as well (which I presume is compatible). Also he used iPhone to control. So is there a difference in the powered functions? I’d rather just use iPhone to control, is this the newer version?…

It seems that 95+% of Bricklink sellers are from Europe. Shipping is very expensive. Is there a different place that NA sellers list their stuff? Thanks. https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?S=60197-1#T=P
