I was at the beginning of the Duplo period, so I think mine was #532. The earliest system set I remember is #452, which I still have, although it looks seriously warn. Why didn't brick separators get invented earlier??

497 Galaxy Explorer, the one to rule them all. I also loved the small space sets like 442, 452, etc. For technic, the old go cart (948?) will always feel special. And the big yellow train set, 7740.

I had a few of those myself, #6861 #462, #452, and #442. I don't think I ever owned a set that came with crater plates, but you could also buy them separate for a while. I don't think that tan colored crater plate ever existed.

The only comparison I can actually come up with to justify the price increase is 800 AUD is about the top price that aftermarket 10188's have…

I joined up quite a while ago, but finally have some time to start nosing around the site. I've been into Lego's for a while now, but really started getting back into them recently when my kids started to show…

Mine is public, I just got back into lego recently this year, mainly SW. I've been playing catch up all year. I will only brag about 1 set pretty much, which is the Space set, 483 Alpha-1 Rocket Base (Along in the same box 452, 894, 897, and 6861) I didn't pay a cent for this set, its near mint, sadly missing 2 pieces…

There was a small smattering of gray bricks in 894/452 Mobile Ground Tracking Station, which came out in 1979-- but not a ton. And there were gray slopes and macaronis in the non-crater plate version of 493 Space Command Center in 1978. It seems like they made an exception for gray in the palette in the classic space…
