   It would appear that there is a new DS coming ou in 16, but not sure if anyone knows for sure that it is an update to the #10188. If the new DS is nothing like the #10188, meaning it is not an episode 4 minifig scale vignette version that #10188 is, then I would expect the price to rise fairly quickly.

   I don't think there are that many people 'hoarding' 10188, either. As I mentioned earlier, it's a difficult set to justify sitting on, both in terms of investment and storage. To that end, I am just as confident that 10188 will be outperforming 10143 within two years of EOL as I am of 10188 hitting $600 within weeks of EOL.
