In the 1980s and 1990s I had gotten a large trove of the now rare red and white large spoked wheels with lack tires. The red ones were used in several 1960s/1970s sets, and both red and white ones were found in the 1974-79 Hobby set (only sold in Europe and Australia). The white large spoked wheels are much rarer than the…

Hello, After some heavy pondering, I have come to the conclusion that I need to reduce my collection and focus on what I will build and use ongoing. Thus, I am selling my castle collection. I live on the south coast of Hampshire, and would prefer collection by the buyer, I am prepared to post by parcel force within the UK…

Yeah. Sorry. I was just yanking your chain. What I meant was that they have "touched" on religion, albeit very discreetly. I was surprised there wasn't a monk in the Forestmen theme to be honest, and I always assumed as a child (wrongly) that the hooded minifig in #1974 was Friar Tuck.

Prior to 1978 when minifigs were introduced... the LEGO scale was 1:87 (or HO scale)... this was mainly from 1955-73. Then from 1974-77 there was a variable scale somewhere between 1:87 and 1:40. The 1:87 Town Plan Scale of 1955-73.

This is a large lot of classic LEGO sets from the late 1980's and the very early 1990's. I bought this collection from a single owner, and have only partially sorted it. Some LEGO I have cleaned some I haven't. When I bought them, the sets were mostly all still put together, and as I sorted through some of them to match…

John Patterson was collector from Texas that had one of the largest collections of sets before he decided to them sell them off. If it had the Lego logo or said Lego on it John wanted it. I don't remember the exact time frame, but John had every known set from about 1980 to 2008. He also had a large majority of sets from…

A couple of other things before I start getting into the OLO story... The reason for Minitalia actually NEVER took place... in May of 1970 the Italian Parliament decided to put a rather bizarre law into action that forbade the imporation of construction toys. And so TLG decided in haste to quickly set up an Italian version…

Thanks to those who previously posted comments on my last topic 12th Jan. Presently I am open to someone coming around and making an offer for the lot. Spending any more time listing each set on line is NOT my preference or sending all the pictures or posting anything. So someone who wants to do this will defiantly have a…

As 1974 said, that feature is already implemented. Just go to your settings on Eurobricks, click "'Ignore' Preferences", and check the little box that says "Ignore all signatures while reading topics". You can also ignore individual users' signatures in this way if there's just a handful you find particularly offensive to…

The last prices I found in a Dutch catalog was for the one of 1974. I don't have one for 1975 but I do have a German version and in that year no prices were given. I do have three pricelists of 1973: Dutch (prices in Guilders) Belgium (prices in Francs, languages Dutch and French) Portugal (prices in Escudos)
