I can't just pick one, so here's three I'd enjoy looking at: THE set that defined my love of LEGO: #375-2 Yellow Castle. I'll never forget the moment I first saw it. Immense imagination ignition. :o) The set I've always wanted to own, build and display, and am working my way towards: #10196 Grand Carousel, obviously! Still…

I've input every set mentioned so far into a database and done some analysis. The following list shows sets that are mentioned more than once and thus are officially the most lusted after! Set Number -- Times Mentioned -- Theme -- Set Name -- Year 6990-1 -- 14 -- Space -- Monorail Transport System -- 1987 928-1 -- 9 --…

Pimping out my store again, happy to negotiate trades or part trades if anyone is interested. A few rarer/old sets available in excellent condition: 375 Yellow Castle - excellent bricks, original and shiny condition. Original string, most stickers are there, but you can see what's missing in the photos here. 2 stickers are…

@coolpix - Our store allowed me to "rebuy" the UCS Falcon when it dropped to $375. The only catch was that the one crotchety guy there made me lug it all the way back to the store instead of just working off the receipt. Some stores have a window in which you can request a receipt adjustment. Target is 14 days. TRU, 7.…

Thanks for the heads up..... :-) Those black 9 light doors were indeed LEGO Minitalia "style" parts. However LEGO sets # 1 (Italy only) and # 2 (Italy and Japan only.... but also labeled #1902 in Japan)... had the Minitalia windows and doors in black (along with green Minitalia shutters). Those 2 sets were produced…

I have officially reached the limit of what I can store and am going to part with some sets to make room for some new ones. I have bought, sold, and traded on brickset marketplace before but it has been many years. I may be able to get you in touch with some active members that could possibly give me a reference if…

@Jpeg Thanks, missed the Brickshelf comments.... Samsonite of Canada did some pretty strange things at times... like numbering 2 sets with the same number at the same time (the #6002 Town Minifigs and #6002 Castle Minifigs sets) during those same early 1980s years. But what really has me loopy is this image below from a…

Sorry about the long post, but I had an unpleasant experience at my store today related to the Holiday PAB boxes. I went tonight to buy Fire Brigade, Imperial Flagship plus a few smaller City sets as Xmas gifts for my kids on the Sunrise, FL store. Total purchase was $348. Before I went to the registers I've asked the lady…

I guess the reasoning would be that customer catalogs were typically incomplete, especially for smaller sets. Some sets just didn't seem to appear in catalogs at all. But for larger sets like 6075, they'd probably be included in a catalog if available. I admittedly haven't seen other print media from the era, so…
