For those who missed out on the modulars from the beginning, what about doing the mini-modules like 10230? They look cool and fun. Granted they are not as many pieces, none the less cool!

^ They could do smaller sets with 2 or 3 and use a lower price point. I don't think 10230 sold very well. It "seemed" expensive for what it was even though the piece count justifies the price.

@dougts, @10230 Mini-Modulars suggests to me LEGO officially consider #10190 to a Modular, but like I said, I was just wondering and made a light hearted query. A joke. Not to worry. Definitely not a UCS.

Look up set 10230 in the Brickset database. The set is comprised of mini versions of several of the Modular buildings. Others have taken that scale and created their own creations. It makes it easier to create a larger city in a smallish space.

Hi, Not been around really for ages. Lego having to take a backseat, I've got a few sets available to sell. All are brand new in box. Happy to get estimates of postage or arrange collection, (I'm in Cheshire but may travel around quite a bit to meet up if that's an option.) Open to reasonable offers. I have sold before on…

LEGO considers it as a modular, in the latest designer video, the #10246 Detective Office was introduced at the 10th modular, it was part of the #10230 mini-modular. Your collection is what you wanted it to be anyway. On a side note bricklinking the MS is much cheaper than GC (both with substitutions)

Using Brickstore, the current breakout price is about double the retail price. Can't be that bad a deal. I may pick up a second one. It'd also be nice if Lego were to put out a generic microbuild set with lots of pieces similar to 10230 like those blue or pink plastic bin sets.

You could go in the other direction and get her #10230 mini modulars, modular houses that she can display anywhere. I had initially dimissed this set but now that I own it, its fantastic. It gets loads of comments when people come round, and I have lots of very large models on display.
