I've decided to take a different approach to how I organize my collection...I currently have all my parts separated into Sterlite plastic bins. I have probably 30-40 of the shoebox sized ones for smallish parts, another 20-30 of the medium sized bins more for various bricks and plates, and about 10 giant 60 gallon bins - a…

So I have finally gotten around to using Peeron to manage my parts by importing my list into excel. But I have noticed that it is missing things like animals and tree parts and conceivably other parts as well. Brickset says that I own 53,000 parts but according to my peeron excel list I only have 6,000. Is there a reason…

Often, when I see a (new) set I am not or only partly interested in, there are parts I could use very well for MOCcing, or would just order the parts for the part of the set i do like. Therefore, I’d really like to be able to flag individual parts as “wanted”. I know we have BL/BO etc which offer this possibility, but (at…

Hi all, I'm wondering if you can help me find a part. It's not a conventional part, in that it won't appear listed on Brickset or Bricklink. What I'm looking for is a sprue. A sprue is a 'waste' part joining two elements together - typically minifig weapons, utensils, or flower heads, such as the middle part of this: The…

I'm not sure if this has already been brought up and I have not found a discussion on this but what about a database for all those loose parts? Also something to take those loose parts and cross reference them with a sets part list. This way especially for grab bags we can tell if we end up with a complete set or not. Its…

I just got the Carbon-freezing Chamber (set #75137) and just built it with my son. I noticed the there was a small separate bag with 8 very small parts. However, after finishing the build, we never touched the bag of parts, and the instructions never called for them to be used, even though they are listed in the parts list…

I haven't seen any discussion about this new section on the replacement parts website. It used to be that you'd go into "I've lost a part", or "a part is damaged", and then just make it clear you wanted to buy, or phone them up. But they've now added a section "buy parts". Maybe this development is likely what has allowed…

Is there some kind of system behind the part numbers on Bricklink? I need to find some specific parts for a modification. I don't particularly know what sets they might appear in. If I had the part number, I could look them up that way. Thanks.

I was recently trying to build set 8958 (http://brickset.com/sets/8958-1/Granite-Grinder) in LDD and discovered that part 44818 (http://brickset.com/parts/design-44818) is not in LDD. Does this part even exist in the program? If it helps, I was in Digital Designer Extended mode. Thanks.

Hi all, Is they anyone out there like me currently collecting parts for multiple mocs and looking to save a few pennies by swapping parts with other builders as opposed to buying them all? If so perhaps we can do a trade? I have lots of used parts and a BL store. Would aim to keep any parts swaps UK based (to save postage…
