Why would that be a piss take? $800 is ~£620, plus VAT makes it £744. So if it is $800 in the US, £700 is a bargain and £750 is about right.

I would be very surprised if you could get more than £1500 for the old set if the new one is at least as big as the old one and costs less than £750. I've seen one sell recently for £3000 on eBay but those days are looking numbered.
