I'm a low-paid grad student, but I'm single and the cost of living out on Pluto is low enough that I can afford to buy Lego sets. However, I usually buy sets because I want the A model, not because I want to part them out for creative building, and I can't afford to buy parts separately to realize all the MOCs I build in…
