I can take no credit for the work, all I did was press 'enable' a couple of times :) ^ +100 to it as well but it's not possible within the confines of the VF framework, althugh I guess a client-side solution should be, similar to those awful scripts that highlight certain words at some sites and pop up ads when you hover… -

It would just need to parse all text on the page for a regular expression…
