I have #6076 that was stored in my cousin's uninsulated attic in NC for over 20 years, so it saw temperatures ranging from zero to well over 100 degrees. No cracked or broken bricks.

^YMMV, but I wouldn't worry too much about storage temperature. Earlier this year I got #6076 that was stored in my uncle's un-insulated attic in North Carolina for over 20 years and it was in better shape than many sets I see brand-new on retail shelves.
