What's REALLY interesting is that's all #60052 is worth.
-
amazon has http://brickset.com/sets/60052-1 for 139 right now
-
#60051 and #60052 aren't creator type trains though, i.e. EN or HE

I do not believe so, I think this will likely be more like #3677 (that ran for about 2 years during the #7939 run) than a replacement for #60052 What also is interesting is that the #60052 has been on discount to about 156 for a while now it seems

Well it looks like the LEGO #60052 and #60051 are now gone at
[email protected] that #60052 was overpriced (especially when said train was routinely on sale for 150 USD, and much lower at times). I did not think LEGO could do any worse, until I saw the price for the new #60198 cargo train at 229.99 USD
-
Wow, so Amazon US now has the #60052 cargo train for 139.99 USD. So is this set officially a dog now?
-
^i think I had a #60052 that I got for just over $100 one time. Agreed on the overpriced aspect and shocked at price of new one.

Aside from Expert/Creator trains, passenger trains don't do as well as cargo trains. Cargo trains offer more play value, but are also more expensive. If this tells you anything, I haven't purchased the last 2 Passenger Trains and I have only bought 1 #7939 and 2 #60052 for my personal collection. I like the #60052 blue EMD…

Quick question: when Lego comes out with #60098, Heavy Haul Train, will that mean the end is near for the #60052 Cargo Train? I wouldn't think so, since the Cargo Train was just released in 2014. Anyone?
