I tried to sort #10697 and failed miserably...the Akro-Mills storage cabinet was not enough, and looking through Amazon I realize I should have bought more when they were on sale, so now to try to stuff everything in the bins that are left. I guess I'll wait on sorting the other two #10697 for a while.

I just realized that #10697 is not as good an investment as I thought it would be. Yesterday while attempting the 8x32 modular I realized I didn't have enough bricks of one color, so there went my intention of building it. Need to open the other two to see how it goes....which means I need store room for them. #LEGOproblems

After organizing (well, if you can call what I did organizing) and sorting two #10697 XXXL Box and two #10702 Creative Building Set, and then looking at my old #4128 XL Value Bucket (Freestyle), I have come to realize that buying the 'new' boxes is not as good as the old ones, especially for the diversity in colors, which…

Another BrickLink sorting marathon - some pieces I needed to fill orders were in bags I hadn't sorted yet, and I did other sorting while I had those bags out. Also finished the number 2 bags of Brick Bank and dusted that Dusted and stored some of my display. the big #10697 boxes are useful for holding baggies of sets I put…

Overspent (I think I need a second job), waiting for sales to be over, and ready to start building the #10218 Pet Shop I got a few weeks back when Walmart had it for $116.98 (yeah, two cents cheaper than right now, go figure)... Also, waiting for my #10697 order to arrive (only one), and for Thursday to come by so that I…

LEGO related new years resolution get more work done, including being more proactive in sorting sets I part out. Sometimes I wait until I get an order; it takes longer to fill the order and more time overall. I often stay up too late; that's one reason why On another note, could use #10697 and #10622 boxes and plastic tubs…

Still working on my first true modular MOCs and it hasn't been easy. Like I mentioned before, it takes way more bricks to build something out of nothing, what I need to do is open the other two #10697 that I got from Walmart and see if that helps. Also, for those of you who either don't like light colors/pink and/or don't…

I saw that on Brickset but ignored it, it seemed too duplicative of the CMF's and apparently it's rather expensive anyway. - @josekalel a lot of parts buckets don't have enough of the particular part you want - I was lucky enoguh to score 8 10697's (6 at a Walmart store Thanksgivign evening, 2 at Walmart.com on Cyber…

Regretting not buying sets when they were on sale or even when they were available sucks (but hey, who has all that disposable income??). My status? Well, although I kinda sorted a brand new and an already opened #10697, I still can't seem to find the 'right' pieces to finish my 8x32 modular. Does anyone go through the…

Had a particularly hectic week with BrickLink. Big orders to fill, including parts from sets I hadn't sorted yet. Been burned by that before - sort the set efficiently, or pick out just parts needed now? Got 6 #10697 at WalMart on Thanksgiving and and just got 2 ordered on Cyber Monday. They're relatively easy - many items…
