I had my LEGO dream again. I feel both enthralled and disappointed whenever this happens. From time to time, I have what I'm hesitant to call a "recurring" dream, usually it begins in an old warehouse or a really run down newsagents/toyshop/charity shop with a slightly scabby early 80s aesthetic but it has varied quite a…

I don't doubt that there is appetite out there for more Classic Space LEGO. I'd simply love to be able to buy #918, #928, or #6985 as a "legacy" edition set, similarly I'd like to see #6080 done the same way... perhaps a 'greatest hits' range has legs, but on the evidence of the Legends theme I'm not convinced it…

I know what you mean, and I have that and love it, but I'm thinking of an updated version of #928 which is closer to the original, rather than a totally new model in CS colours. It is my pleasure to host the Bonusball this week. On my occasional lurks elsewhere I've seen folk sharing when they've acquired their White Whale. I obsess about LEGO, I have been very lucky and have obtained many of the sets I have wanted in any prolonged way. You could say I've hunted down a fair few White Whales. My…

^ Yes, #497 was the designation in the US (and Canada?), while #928 was for RoW. This is the same for a number of sets in early Classic Space. The sets themselves are identical, so no need to get duplicates! When you say "The pre-1984 minifigure sets are difficult or impossible to find", what are you referring to? Sets…
