Hello. I am buying some old Technic sets from the 70s and set 854 seems to have two sets of instructions. One is shown with an extended 855 crane on the front cover (with 854 in the bottom right corner) whilst there is another set of instructions with the blue go-kart of the 854 set shown, with a big 854 shown in the top…

Hello. The ongoing thin down continues. 4 Technics books, 854, 856, 8848 and 8888. Good condition considering the age, all pages present and in tact, no repairs and all held together with the original staples and not tape. A bit of age wear but nothing that bothers me. 854 and 856 covers start a few pages in, not sure if…

Hi, I have some old lego Technic sets, numbers 854, 870 871 and 875. As far as I can tell they are all complete. I can't find any sets online to give a rough idea on price to sell for, if anyone has any idea of what I should be looking to achieve, be it peanuts or pounds id be greatful. Once I know I'll be happy to post a…

^ Not quite as impressive due to much smaller piece counts but as a child in the late 70's early 80's I could build #918 One Man Space Ship and #854 Technic Go-Kart without instructions or pictures. I may try again next time I build them, although I can feel a big fail coming on.

I collected my best Ebay joblot to date last night :) 14KG of 70's & 80's vintage Lego for £87.55. Going by the manuals it should contain #375 #854 #894 #918 #920 #924 #926 #928 #8844 #8845 #8841 #8843 #8851 #8848 #8860 and probably more besides. At least 50 minifigs as well. It will take a fair bit of sorting but I am in…

Pictures: http://s544.photobucket.com/user/punchb/library/Sell_legos (You can click twice to zoom in.) All sets include manuals (in ok shape but some are a bit crumpled). Only the LEGO Technic sets include the box. There are 24 sets. Of these 4 are not complete, they are missing a few pieces, see below. In addition there…

A quick comparison, buying three Octan Service Stations (coming in August) and a City Ferry would also set you back $300. For a net of 1,846 parts. Meanwhile this licensed set comes in beautiful packaging and with a special book and 854 more parts than that. Suddenly it doesn't seem too bad of a price. Granted I…

You're probably already aware of this issue, but if you do go looking for that tube part on Bricklink, try to make sure the seller has the right tube listed. iirc, it's the tube that comes in sets like #854, #920 and #6971 and it's thinner walled and made from a slightly different material from the more common pnuematic…
