Hi, last year I passed an auction which included an advert from a German paper magazine: The advert shows the set 7750. Does anybody know from which magazine this advert is, can someone provide a better scan? Thanks ThomaS

Set #7750. Easily the nicest looking train set Lego ever made.

Have now received the missing parts for my #7750 Steam Engine, so looking forward to building that tonight!

If I remember correctly, I paid a little over $300 each plus shipping for my 7740 http://www.brickset.com/detail/?Set=7740-1 and my 7750 http://www.brickset.com/detail/?Set=7750-1 and my 7730 http://www.brickset.com/detail/?Set=7730-1 . I don't count my DS because I saved up $200 in VIP points for it.

Me too, I think that is why I overcompensated and have nearly every one from 1980 on til now. Just missing #7750 I think now.

30 years from now Emerald Night might seem similarly outdated as 7750 is now. Who knows, maybe in 2043 it won't be considered a great representation of a steam train.:)

The red wheels for both the Toy Story train and the new Winter Holiday train are with Technic axle holes, so doesn't work with my #7750 :( I think the old system with the pins looks better.

Bonus incentive for those who like Lego trains: I also have a bunch of 12V trains (e.g. #7750 ), electric rails (e.g. #7854 ), switches (e.g. #7856 ), remote control points (e.g. #7860 ) and transformers (#7864 ) that need checking whether they still work ;)

Ordered the missing pieces for my #7750 Steam Engine from BL today. Was rather pricey, but would be a sin to not give this train a 2nd life and not have it go round my track again because of 4 missing pieces... (1x 4092, 2x 4180c05 and 1x 4022)
