Hi Folks I had the good fortune to stumble across a partially complete 7740 a few months ago at a car boot sale. Through various bricklink orders I've added to it but it's still not quite complete, however it did turn me on to Lego City Trains as a theme, a birthday and a Christmas later I have a 7938 and a 60052(Lucky…

If I remember correctly, I paid a little over $300 each plus shipping for my 7740 http://www.brickset.com/detail/?Set=7740-1 and my 7750 http://www.brickset.com/detail/?Set=7750-1 and my 7730 http://www.brickset.com/detail/?Set=7730-1 . I don't count my DS because I saved up $200 in VIP points for it.

I didn't know that Lego made trains until my brother sent me the 7740 and the train idea book, that is when I discovered the 7760.

I regret selling the half finished sets thinking I would never get hold of the parts to finish them off. But of course you do... I sold #7740, #7738 and #7739. The last two I saved for a long time, and it annoys me not to have built them proper as they are good sets. I have the 7740 on my to-do list, bur been putting off…
