Why is there a discrepancy in parts owned? In the upper right hand corner, it says 128361 parts owned for me. Under my collection, however, it says: 137285 pieces. That's almost a 9000 part difference. And I have 1114 items, 881 different, but only have prices for 760? Huh?

I was just looking at some older entries in the Brickset database and came across something that surprised me. http://brickset.com/sets/760-2/London-Bus is listed with a US retail price of $49, which seems like a LOT for a 1975 set (that's like $224 in today's money, or around $2 per brick)! I know a…

As a big fan of Queen Elizabeth II, looking forward to watching the celebrations from here in the USA. Anyway... I thought I would start a thread of LEGO sets that were unique to the UK, which produced/sold LEGO sets under the British LEGO Ltd. label since 1960. British LEGO Ltd. was a LEGO licensee subsidiary of the…

This week I wrote an article (part 1 of 3) for the Brickset "front page"... about LEGO sets by region... http://brickset.com/article/13338/lego-box-variations-by-country-part-1-1957-72 In the past year I've had 2 LEGO set collectors from UK and Canada send me a lot of images of sets from those countries, and I've been kind…

Also, (probably) #6982 Explorien Starship, #6991 Monorail Transport Base (the trans-blue canopy with the sticker), #6949 Robo-Guardian (the trans-red canopy in the white piece at lower right), #6983 Ice Station Odyssey (the Trans-fluorescent red canopies. That red plate with the cutouts on the sides is possibly…

After putting some thought into this, I believe my purchases would be The Simpsons House, the Kwik-E-Mart, the Tumbler, and then throw in the extra $10 for the Detective's Office. Although that would amount to $45.60 in sales tax for me on top of the $760.

After much searching I finally found my rarest Lego item, #760. There is no picture in the database but only 6 people including myself own a copy and I do have the red and blue drawers that came with it. Unfortunately it's not very desirable.

How low will it go? Mr. Gold started out at $1000+. As expected, this did not last. The last few seem to have gone for $850, $800, $760, $630. They should be sub $500 in the next week or so. Still much more than what I would pay.
