Why would that be a piss take? $800 is ~£620, plus VAT makes it £744. So if it is $800 in the US, £700 is a bargain and £750 is about right.

Yep, it is $744 AUD, $762 USD, £490 & €582 It retails for $699.99 AUD in Australia, so NZ do get shafted even more then us.

LOL..... I think I must have about 8 sets of mint instructions lying around for 733.... I bought about a 10 of those sets when they came out in 1980... (plus 1 722 and 1 744). Yes those DO have instructions....

Got #744 from a second hand Lego store. Not a great price, but not a rip off either. Box, instructions, and pieces in fair to excellent condition. The motor is present and still works. Minor fading on bricks, especially the yellow, is the only thing we can fault. The box even has the plastic trays in it!
