When I was a kid, my (much) older brother used to make scavenger hunts with encrypted clues that my younger brother and I had to use to find our "big" present each year. Each clue was printed out in code using WingDings or some similar font, with each symbol representing a letter of the alphabet. The first clue had 26…

Hello everyone So I received from a friend a nice big bulk of bricks, approximately 14kgs. Of course I'm very happy because there is a lot of rare stuff in it (including a still working 6990 set) but.... There is a but. This friend of mine did not care much about LEGO® and these bricks were literally left to rot out in the…

I'm trying to decide what to add to my Bricklink store next.... Parts and figs seem to go fastest, but I have lots and lots of sets to inventory and add. These are the ones I'm currently working on from bulk purchases with even more in my backlog not yet started... any interest from anyone in these? I typically price them…

So I acquired an almost complete 6990 - Futuron Monorail Transport set amongst a $50 Facebook purchase and Bricklinked the final few parts to complete the set. The motor runs well, and it drives itself around the track, however when it hits the switch to reverse/change directions, it doesn't quite fully engage the switch…

I was lucky (unlucky?) enough to pick up a Monorail Transport System on my last vacation to Florida (and thus had to lose some clothing to fit it in the luggage...). While I enjoy the set, I've decided to let it go, as it doesn't really fit with my collection. I'll post some pictures later, but the set is 100% Complete…

It is my pleasure to host the Bonusball this week. On my occasional lurks elsewhere I've seen folk sharing when they've acquired their White Whale. I obsess about LEGO, I have been very lucky and have obtained many of the sets I have wanted in any prolonged way. You could say I've hunted down a fair few White Whales. My…

Acquired a mostly complete 6990 Monorail set but no train and missing one track. Would love to get a train for it. I don't need all the correct pieces for the train, mainly the monorail specific front and rear base and motor, my set isn't complete anyway, i'm looking more to just have fun with it.

I've invented a time machine, so my favourite memory is from yesterday when I went back in time to 1987, and ransacked the shelves of TRU in Woking (my childhood store), and paid a pittance for some choice Classic Space sets! Most notably #6990. Because this was the 80s they still had a healthy quantity of the previous few…

It is a nice layout! I have a spare monorail chassis, motor and track, and other spare parts begging for a Blacktron version of #6990
