Overwatch: How did you decide on scale - minifig to brickbuilt? Were there any design avenues you went down before you realised they were cul-de-sacs? Finally,I don't play the game, so don't know if it's all part of Blizzard's backstory or if Lego put it in there, but was the functionality of the separating space rocket in…

It's gotta be the last one built, everytime! At least until I bore of it, find something better or need the space! But if I really had to choose one and only one, then it wouldn't be my childhood favourite #6980 which is still a great set in my opinion but isn't really a great display piece. Neither would it be #76031…

I have bought my first second hand set, #6980 which was my favourite Space set back in my 80's childhood. Am a bit unsure of the condition of the bricks and would like to give them a thorough clean before assembling and displaying the model. Any tips on the best way to clean old Lego? Or should I just chuck them in warm…

I was 10 years old when I got the set in 1983 if I can recall :) and I live in Cyprus. Here are the photos. I was mistaken. The yellow ones came with the sticker not the white ones. It's been a long time since I last revisited the set :)

Benny's Spaceship wasn't a re-release though. It was a modern re-interpretation of Classic Space. Compare it with the two requested above: Classic Space sets look completely outdated, as if they were designed 40 years ago. Mainly because that is what they are.

This is my classic Legoland Space collection from 1978 through 1987. All original, first generation except for the monorail itself. It's taken me five years to collect and put together this monorail layout. Gallery: https://www.flickr.com/photos/rva-lug/albums/72157680915365175 Video:…

#6980 Galaxy Commander, never expected it, never thought I would have a flagship set (they were always for other kids). Even my dad commented about how good it was when I finished it.
Either that or my Grifter XL. But the galaxy commander has stood the test of time much better than the grifter.

How many sets do you have that are listed in Great Lego Sets: A Visual History? I have: 367: Space Module with Astronauts (1975) 600: Police Car (1978) 606: Ambulance (1978) 375: Castle (1978) 928: Space Cruiser And Moonbase (1979) 381: Police Headquarters (1979) 6362: Post Office (1982) 6374: Holiday Home (1983)…

Only Fabuland set I remember having was a Paddy Wagon with a bulldog and a crocodile. That Crocodile became the the first 'official' ALF in my collection and ended up getting his arse kicked from one end of the house to the other by my blue and black 'Special Forces' CS Spacemen. The requirement for the safe transport and…

For a location-based set, I really like #76051 : Super Hero Airport Battle - there's plenty of figures to play with, there's an aircraft, a ground vehicle and a building, and there's a GIANT ANT-MAN. My son loves to play with this set, and every adult who sees it is fascinated by Giant-man. For spaceships, there's not much…
