I have been doing inventory for #6289 and I came across some differences between this set and #6290. Red Beard Runner #6289 was released in 1996 and came with 691 pieces. Red Beard Runner #6290 was released in 2001 and came with 698 pieces. When built and sitting side by side, both ships look identical, but there are some…

Wow, just looked closer at the current listings... Cloud City, the lowest new sealed price on BL is $938, and that is a Hong Kong seller... In the USA, there is a seller at $975, then it goes above a thousand... For a set with 698 parts?

Just recently a Dutch collector friend bought one of the crown jewels of the (1955-70) 1:87 Town Plan era cars/trucks. This 698 (1965) 12 auto multipack was a one year only issue, and is extremely rare. This is the first one I have ever seen MISB. Each of these cars individually in mint condition would command $150-$200…

Thanks to those who previously posted comments on my last topic 12th Jan. Presently I am open to someone coming around and making an offer for the lot. Spending any more time listing each set on line is NOT my preference or sending all the pictures or posting anything. So someone who wants to do this will defiantly have a…

I’m clearing out some of my sets particularly that I have duplicates of and my latest section straddles all the way from the 70s to the 90s. Ideally I’d sell as a group or a couple of groups (Town group and Space/Aquazone group). None of these sets have boxes or extra parts unless specified otherwise - Legoland/Town Group…

Yes, it is rather anti climactic... Walmart is going all out, some of the deals they have are indeed deals. A 60" 1080P LED TV 120hz for $698? That is a smoking price. An HP laptop for $178? No, it isn't super powerful, but it is good enough and better than a lot of tablets, comes with Windows, for less than the cost of a…

The trouble is there's just so much there. What I'd do is sort all of these and figure out what you have. Starting with anything you instructions and boxes for, I'd get an inventory of and pull the pieces out of the pile. I'd prioritize Classic Space over Town, Town over the mid-70s sets. Then you can see if any reminds…

Hi, Normally bit of a lurker as I'm a new AFOL just coming out of my dark age (rediscovered enthusiasm whilst collecting Lego Friends sets for my daughters). Posting this as I think there's some interesting sets I've picked up. Saw a advert for some old classic lego sets for £60, few boxed sets that looked like good…
