Hi, I'm in the process of going through my boxes to build up what I have so I can sell it on. I've got loads of older sets with instructions where I'm missing a few pieces to complete it. Am I better off buying from bricklink to complete the sets or selling as is? For example, I've got the complete builds of sets 6970 and…

Not sure if I made it, but I’d say #6971

Many of the Classic space title fit here I think, but #6971 Inter-Galactic Command base

Hi all I thought I'd post this here and see if any interest before venturing onto eBay / Facebook Market place.... My plan to try and replace broken & lost parts and get the hydrogen peroxide out to whiten parts and restore my remaing classic space sets has bit the dust as I don't seem to have the time to work on it, so…

Got a 99% complete 6971 (Inter-Galactic Command Base), 6702 (Classic Space Minifigure pack) as well as about 10-20 other 80’s minifigures plus more for $40.

I agree with @mr_benn - fairly sure they were available in shops. I had four of the plates, 2 came with #6971 Intergalactic Command Base, but the other two must have been from #305 which someone must have got me from a store.

@plasmodium Yes, you could say that. With the exception of Star Wars, Lego was definitely my goto toy. @Lobot Not that I find your injury funny, but the comment about getting a #6971 after getting hurt was somewhat comical. Only a dedicated Lego fan would consider getting Lego as the result of bodily harm "worth it". :)

This is my classic Legoland Space collection from 1978 through 1987. All original, first generation except for the monorail itself. It's taken me five years to collect and put together this monorail layout. Gallery: https://www.flickr.com/photos/rva-lug/albums/72157680915365175 Video:…

Thanks everybody for the wonderful and elaborate feedback - EXACTLY what I was hoping for. I'll indeed try not to focus too much on trying to obtain speciality pieces (never mind whole vintage bases - although 6971 does indeed look mighty interesting). Oh, and Ole, thanks for the tip on helicopters. I was wondering about…

I know, I know, it's not LEGO! I doubt there's anyone here that will want these, but I thought there was a greater chance here than anywhere, and if nothing else I thought there might be some validity in sharing these with you all... I did contemplate putting this in "everything else" for discussion, but I'd like to see…
