Is there anything more beautiful than Trans Neon Green in the sun? #6923 Particle Ionizer.
-
Fifth is #6923 Particle Ioniser.

Picked up a complete 6923 the other day for 20 bucks, box and instructions in great shape and the bricks look like they were put together once and then put back in the box for 20 years. Neat little ship with lots of swooshability!

Random observation: https://brickset.com/sets/6923-1/Particle-Ioniser spells "Ioniser" the British way, but "Particle Ionizer" was only the US name for the set, and US catalogs spelled it with a Z rather than an S. I'm not sure if there are other sets in the database with this sort of issue, but I imagine there might be.

I'd have to pick 6923 Particle Ionizer. It has quite a few play features, a brick built robot, and has an above-average amount of SNOT techniques used for a set of its size, as well as a pair of magnets. On top of all that, it was still a stable model. @allyburns - the StarDefender is also excellent, as are nearly all of…

If I had to pick just one, it would be the http://www.brickset.com/detail/?set=6923-1 Particle Ioniser. Adjustable wings, magnets, a robot and a cargo container. Very "swooshable". It was one of my favorites when I got it as a kid, just a bit over 21 years ago (it was Easter 1990, I think) and it remains one of my…

As a quick prelude to this War and Peace post, a bit about where I see myself with Legos. I find myself gravitating more toward the prepackaged sets to build and display than scratchbuilding models. While I do find scratch building interesting, I want to get my current collection built and display ready before going…

I know of a few sets with redesigned sections. I probably encountered more, but these are the ones I can remember at the moment: 7707-1 Striking venom Some owners of this set might remember their disappointment of finding out that their Meca One figure didn't have legs for this set. Even when it was advertised on the box!…
