Hi, I appreciate that this is a long shot, but I'm looking to do a bit of childhood regression! I'm looking for the following sets, ideally unopened, but I don't mind if the box is a bit bashed or open provided that the bags are still sealed. I thought that I'd check if anyone had a stash of sets tucked away, and looking…

Tempted to part together #1526 #1593 I believe are made from #6929 and #6880, and the instructions were from some retailer as part of an offer (maybe with both of those sets included) I have a #1593 printed copy, as I'm sure other have and just BL the set.

I know a lot of folks that would love to see the 375 yellow castle for 39.99 USD. I think I now know why my brother and I did not get one, we both got AT-ATs that year from our extended family (and were made to return one due to their size), that was the Christmas of a LOT of Star Wars toys, though I remember having the…

http://www.brickset.com/detail/?Set=1593-1 is an interesting one: originally just a set of instructions to build a "super model" using the pieces from http://www.brickset.com/detail/?Set=6929-1 and http://www.brickset.com/detail/?Set=6880-1, it was later packaged and sold as a stand-alone set (available if you bought…

These two are definitely my favourites from my childhood collection. Must be time I re-built them again. I know I am missing one wheel from 6880 and some of the lamp holders and ladder pieces broke due to brittleness when I last took it apart but I can probably find spares of the right vintage.

When I read the set description I immediately thought of #6928 Uranium Search Vehicle because it has many ‘arms’ and its more bulky than 6880. But it’s more blue than grey overall and apparently isn’t in any of the obvious catalogues. As Kenny mentions, minifigures, or even any specific parts included in the set like…

Nice to see so many opinions on what is or what is not a set. Obviously, the answer depends on how you define things and there are several potentially mutually exclusive yet perfectly valid definitions out there. Now, for those of you talking about piecing things together from other sets who believe that piecing together…

So, after looking through my collection, I found ONE yellow classic space torso (out of 27 total) that's a Type O, which proves that they were still manufacturing Type O's in 1982. Interestingly, of all my classic space sets with yellow figs, only ONE of them was from 1982, and that was #6880. So... thanks to that and…
