Both #6863 and #6857 are fun sets. The thing to consider is #6857 being TRU exclusive so the only 2 (official) places that sell them are TRU and LEGO stores. #6863 is cheaper and available in most retailers that sell LEGO.

The difference is in the cowl. Look at the parts inventory of #6863, which shows both versions, and you should be able to see the difference. BrickLink's "Type 2 Cowl" (part 10113) is more angular.

The dark blue chunk is the body of the X Jet from the X men versus the Sentinel set #76022 from a few years ago. I beliebb the Batman part is the 2012 Batjet #6863 set.
