I always longed for #6781 SP-Striker as a kid, it had the working light bars and that was just the coolest thing ever. But we couldn't afford it. I might need to find a good used one to add to my collection. -

US/UK Set Naming
So thanks to Huw (and Alice) work I was looking through the old catalogues of my childhood and noticed how different the names are for the different sets. Its a mixed bag, some of the US I prefere (Stardefender 200 for example) but some are really terrible (Monorail Transport System) and some UK names feel more sensible… -

Bought a bulk lot from a guy I bought some random castle pieces, thinking I would recreate those old sets, which I did (sort of... Still missing some things) But on top of that, I managed to get out of the lot about 16-20 classic space sets, (3 fully complete) and the rest missing in total about 150 pieces. Highlights… -

Small haul yielded surprising results! Funny that most of the parts I needed for the Snowplow (3 curved orange plow pieces, green car door, side gas tank stickered 2x4 tile) I already had from a previous haul- as if they were waiting pateintly for the rest of the set to come along someday...& TODAY was that day 🤣 #1580… -

Blacktron 1 and 2, M Tron, and Space Police 1. Love the original space police with its use of black, blue, and clear red. Since this may never happen I'm currently in the process of rebuilding all of my old space sets. 1985-1991. My favorite set of all time is actually the first one I ever owned in 1990 and is the mentioned few times in this discussion 6781 SP-Striker, I felt in love with this one when the lights went on for the first time :) well what you expect I was only 7 at that time.
