A large shipment of late Classic Space and Futuron sets arrived recently (after traveling all the way from Belgium) - they cleaned up nicely I think... #6874 and #6885 were fun to build but the star for me was #6780 with the ingenious Light & Sound electronics... This weekend I plan on swooshing in the dark!

6780: XT Starship - The combo of light and sounds plus a really nice shape made this really memorable for me. 7191: X-wing Fighter - Years after my DA began, this was the UCS that brought me back out and I just loved building it. 70816: Benny's Spaceship, Spaceship, SPACESHIP! - My alternative to bricklinking LL-928.

This is my classic Legoland Space collection from 1978 through 1987. All original, first generation except for the monorail itself. It's taken me five years to collect and put together this monorail layout. Gallery: https://www.flickr.com/photos/rva-lug/albums/72157680915365175 Video:…

I bought the XT Starship #6780 on kijiji for $20 in it's original box. It was from an estate and I doubt was ever built as the white pieces had no fading even the hoses were straight, all the red/green lights were there plus extras. It even had the plastic top display insert. The other weird thing is that it was also the…

Overwatch: How did you decide on scale - minifig to brickbuilt? Were there any design avenues you went down before you realised they were cul-de-sacs? Finally,I don't play the game, so don't know if it's all part of Blizzard's backstory or if Lego put it in there, but was the functionality of the separating space rocket in…

@Pitfall69, highly unlikely, but not completely outside realms of possibility, EP VII would have to be an absolute turkey, but you never know, it could end up being worse than EP I. Personally, I didn't mind EP I, felt it dragged somewhat, but EP II-III definitely made up for it, especially EP II, loved finally seeing Yoda…

This is a large lot of classic LEGO sets from the late 1980's and the very early 1990's. I bought this collection from a single owner, and have only partially sorted it. Some LEGO I have cleaned some I haven't. When I bought them, the sets were mostly all still put together, and as I sorted through some of them to match…
