http://lego.gizmodo.com/meanest-wife-ever-forces-husband-to-sell-his-661-lb-leg-1574833406 Guess buying the LEGO valentine set wouldn't have done the trick! :-)

Not ridiculous as such but interesting to see what looks like someone trying to bale out of reselling: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Lego-Sets-310-Unique-to-Themes-and-661-sets-in-Quantity-Brand-New-/281484835754 A real mixed bag. Also, the listing really needs to be presented more clearly.

I'm not sure they are glued (I've not checked that closely)... but in this image of a 1957-65 #261 version I don't see any gluing... it looks like one solid molded part for the entire undercarriage. But you do see how fragile those bumpers can be... and the are the most common type of damage that happens to them..... Here…

Thanks to those who previously posted comments on my last topic 12th Jan. Presently I am open to someone coming around and making an offer for the lot. Spending any more time listing each set on line is NOT my preference or sending all the pictures or posting anything. So someone who wants to do this will defiantly have a…

Guys, please... I know you guys would use these bricks more than me. I want it gone... I have less than half of my tiny room to use because I have my childhood LEGO taking up all the space. I am keeping one tub and my Bionicle for my kids, but this other lot of 100 lb is taking too much space and I am kind of worn out of…

@LusiferSam the only easy 1:87 items to tell apart are the Bedford Trucks, the 258 VW Vans and 259 VW Pickups. These seem to be the only items that I have seen warping on them. Among the cars, besides the VW Beetles, most of them are ABS. This is because the other cars started production in 1962... and ABS production…

Ironically in 1965 the 261-268 garage sets were replaced by 661-668 cardboard box sets... which were not quite as cool... Ironically the last of the garages in continental Europe were used up in 1966-67 6 Auto Multi-packs (695/696).... but in the USA these garages lingered for a few more years, finally disappearing in the…

Visited a toy fair locally in Norwich and came away with a hoard of Lego. Found the following sets, all complete - #661, Spirit of St Louis, #614 Digger, #8020 Technic Universal set, a complete set of the Weetabix promotional buildings (2 x houses & Windmill), a set of 1960's trees, set #226 building beams with names and…

The VW Beetles ( #260, #261, #661 ) won the competition for first produced LEGO 1:87 scale autos, although in truth... compared to the already produced (since 1955) Bedford 1:87 trucks (Fire, Tow, Esso, Tipper and Delivery)... these VW Beetles were actually 1:80 scale... but the kids playing with them didn't notice. There…

Looking for modular, UCS, or any other big set not on this list. if the set is like new, it means I build it, then took it back apart, bagged it, and stored it. thanks for reading. (b) = Includes box, (i) = includes instructions. All minifigs on like new sets are included. The LOTR set 10237 is open box, 1 open bag (Built…
