LEGO Classic Town (1978-1991) The area of baseplates is equal to 72 (8x9) 32x32 stud baseplates, or 256 by 288 studs (73,728 studs total). There are over a hundred sets included (full list below). video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6ZAKwe3qs1A There are duplicates of some sets…

I really don't understand completely why the CMF Series keeps jumping in price. It could be a combination of several factors; popularity, cost of production, inflation. Take #6390 Main Street for instance. This set was released in 1980 and cost $40 USD. It retired in 1983. 20 years later (2003), Lego re released the set (…

#6390 Main Street had all of that stuff 40 years ago! Okay, a popcorn stand instead of ice cream stand. Gotta love when reporters (or others) don't know much about what they're discussing!

I like the idea of a modular redesign of 6390 Main Street. With that we'd get a mechanic's shop, and a hotel that is under construction (and a popcorn stand of course!). The hotel would have to be pretty small to fit a 16x32 baseplate, so maybe they could release another brownstone type building that is being constructed.

I did a cost comparison awhile back. I Used the first release 6390 Main Street vs. The re release of Main Street 10041. I used this comparison because there was such a huge gap between the first issue and the re release. 6390 was released in 1980 and cost $40 USD. 10041 was released in 2003 and cost $65. If you use a…

I didn't read most of this thread, well because I don't have the time.... but LEGO has re-released old sets in the past... probably the most familiar was the 2003 re-releases of older classics such as the 1978 398 U.S.S. Constellation Set (as 10021), but with the back of yellow headlight bricks instead of the long…

Well I might as well put my 'panic mode' 2 cents in... since I've been around a long time and seen this all happen before.... Had I owned the 10179... the moment I would have heard about the new release of 75192 as actually coming out into production, I would have sold the 10179 as fast as I could. I've been collecting…

Yeah, I have too many base plates to count spanning over 40 years (I have five large size bins of them to the point where I need to cull them down to sell as I have more sitting on a shelf that need to fit into the those bins). I'm sure someone out there (probably many) still have many more than I. I think, that at least…

#6381 Motor Speedway (Price sticker on box shows original price $16.99) $45 #6375 Exxon Gas Station - Stickers are all accounted for but some are peeling off at the corners and they are somewhat discolored/aged. $150 #6377 Delivery Center - The two window stickers (white lines) are peeling but the original extra stickers…
