I want to thank Evans from France (lives north of Paris)... he brought to my attention this set 6377 Delivery Center of 1985. It's listed as a USA/Canada only set... but here's proof that it was available (probably a limited issue) in France as well.... It has the European box type (no piece count). There are a lot of USA…

It depends, I have erred and put stickered brick into a wash bin and did not realize it until I was rubbing one brick to find out i was rubbing the garage sticker print of of the part for #6383... Needless to say if you do it, be careful drying it. I also have a feeling newer stickers may peel easier than the old…

#6381 Motor Speedway (Price sticker on box shows original price $16.99) $45 #6375 Exxon Gas Station - Stickers are all accounted for but some are peeling off at the corners and they are somewhat discolored/aged. $150 #6377 Delivery Center - The two window stickers (white lines) are peeling but the original extra stickers…

Like @oldtodd33 says, check out that thread. I would just add that however you clean them, hand wash printed or sticker-ed parts (and be careful not to rub off the printing on the sticker, I almost did that with a #6383 1x8 brick with the garage sticker)

Does anyone ever feel guilty for throwing away Lego boxes, especially old ones? I have boxes or covers to these sets: -588 (1978) -6375 (1980) -6382 (1980) -6383 (1980) -6081 (1990) -6277 (1992) I just have a hard time throwing them away because there's always that "what if". What if the its valuable or what if someone…

I think there is a thread for this question someone isn't there? :) Mine was any of the larger 80's Town sets. #6383 Public works Center, #6393 Big rig truck stop, #6390 main street, #6391 Cargo Center 6990 really caught my eye as well, it was the first Monorail produced and during a time where futuristic was in and…

Getting #6377 for Christmas. Pretty much any LEGO moment around Christmas. Recently, it was getting all the Town and train sets in LEGO lots that I could not as a kid (like #1490, #6391, #6383, #6393, #7730). Main street reissue is nice, it allowed me to get a set I REALLY wanted as a kid, but could never get. I actually…

Finished #6382 Fire Station (1981), @8854 Power Crane (1989), nearly done with @6383 Public Works Center (1981) which is missing three pieces, all built from last bulk buy.

Perhaps, but really things aren't much different today. Actually, the largest most expensive sets sill can have about 4 figures but now contain more bricks. You often get more pieces per fig. For example, a fire station: in 1981 you got #6382 with 4 figs and 390 pieces while in 2010 you got #7208 with 4 figs and 662…
