My first Castle, waaay back in 2003 - #6091 King Leo's Castle.

If you had the chance to buy 2-3 of the following sets on my wanted list, which ones would you prioritize and why? This could be an interesting discussion, and it will help me with my future purchasing decisions as well. (If it's not on the list, it's either a small/polybag set or I already have it...) Thanks! #1547 Black…

So, what sets would you say have a chance of being in this lot, 6091 for sure but the rest?
-
Possibly try to incorporate part 6091 in the build. Would need to rework insides but outside should be similar. Just a thought.

We all like to show off, don't we? I reckon I am super lucky in that I am only 17 but have (in my opinion) quite a large collection of Lego. And not just the small ones, the big, expensive ones. My parents were clever enough (and I can't thank them enough), and purchase a large quantity of late 70's, early 80's lego, well…

Scored a very good condition raised baseplate similar but different print to that used in sets #6091 #6098 #10176 (http://rebrickable.com/parts/30271px2 ). Paid $5NZD for it. Shame there was no other Lego with it. Not sure of the actual set this one comes from,

OK... I'm going to skip ahead 50 years.... to something unusual... Year 2000.... Knights Kingdom.... TLG made this really nice looking castle (as viewed from the box)... and in North America it was set 6091 King Leo's Castle.... From what we call "curb appeal", it looked very nice lots of towers, on a hilltop... looks very…

Part 6091 is now known as Slope, Curved 2 x 1 x 1 1/3 with Recessed Stud. It was previously called Brick, Modified 1 x 2 x 1 1/3 with Curved Top. This is annoying because I sort slopes and bricks differently if I have any significant quantity of the color.one of my recent orders was for some, with no (other) bricks of that…

Oh boy. I'm 20 now, so my childhood nostalgia is for late 90's and early 2000's sets, so nearly everything I loved as a child looks very poorly designed to me now, naturally, hahaha! The theme that got me into Lego was Fright Knights, which is notorious for having some of the most poorly designed sets ever, including #6087…

When the Friends line originally launched, I thought it was very aggressively priced to maybe help spark sales, so maybe it doesn't surprise me. Overall, though, I really don't agree LEGO has gotten that much more expensive over the years, especially compared to the early 2000s. I'm looking at a 2000 S@H catalog right now.…
