I'm pretty sure I had some buckets of bricks before this, but the first set I remember getting was 6074, the Black Falcon's Fortress. http://www.brickset.com/detail/?set=6074-1

I'd save the Castle for last. But you really need a #6074 to oppose the King's Castle. ;)

#6074 Where does that take you? All I did was type pound-six-zero-seven-four.

Why is this set worth so much? Is it just nostalgia or something more? Craigslist has one for $100 with box and instructions. I don't have much interest in it but if someone really wants it I would be willing to pick up and ship for minimum costs.

Black Falcon's Fortress (#6074 or #10039) is an absolute classic. I am not too knowledgeable about castle builds I but I loved (and still do) that one.

On the same note, I would love to see the 'lesser' or 'baddie' faction to actually have their own fortress or castle - much in the way of the Black Falcon's Fortress (6074).

6080 King's Castle and 6074 Black Falcon's Fortress were the must-have sets for me as a kid. I still look at those two and 'lust' after them :)

Would like to purchase or trade for a Gaurded Inn. Would also be interested in anything that connects to Gaurded Inn/Black Falcon Fortress 6074. Would prefer used ($) and am OK with missing parts or subs (to a point). Let me know what you have, your price or what you may be looking for in a trade. Thanks! Mark
