I have 2 used Railway Express train sets for sale. Both are complete, but some stickers are missing in both sets. Also, there are no boxes or instructions provided. These sets come with a bunch of minifigures (9 each) and a lot of accessories. Sets are identical, but 4560 does not come with a transformer and a speed…

#4561 would be a great remake. Alas, LEGO sees no market for trains, it seems.

Hmmm, I believe it was actually #4561, then #4565 was close I believe

#4565 was one of my first trains (the other being #4561) out of my LEGO dark ages.

Built my #4559 9V train tonight. Now I need to start designing a tender car for the PF battery box and IR receiver like I did for #4561

@Ririnette You probably have 2 #4561 and 2 #4511 train sets. Which means you should have 4 train controllers and 64 pieces of curved track and 4 straight track to go with them.

Hi everyone, I’ve recently added a submission of a project that attempts to add humour to a Lego build. If you think it does and like it please support it. Thank you. https://ideas.lego.com/projects/4b03235b-08fd-4561-bc6c-1fe6c83a2169

Her son might have run the motor on the tracks but I'll bet no one tried putting it together. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Lego-4561-SYSTEM-9-Volt-Electric-Blue-Train-Set-System-Excellent-/272140787419?hash=item3f5cdadedb:g:iTgAAOSwWTRWwIkC

Picked up about 40lbs of bulk LEGO the other day for $175. After I picked out the #10001 Metroliner and the #4561 / random train pieces i'll use for train MOCS. I sold the rest of the lot for $175. Bit of work but happy to finally have a Metroliner!

The rotating assembly is directly below the pin from what I remember. One thing you could try is grind the pin area flush and then super glue part of a Technic pin there. Or sell the motors to someone who doesn't need the pin (4561) and buy good motors.
