As a poor student, I absolutely LUSTED after the first 4483 AT-AT. Despite always struggling to make ends meet, I was able to scrounge enough money to buy it, but my girlfriend (currently mrs Alldarker) was most definitely NOT impressed by my spending priorities!

It is my pleasure to host the Bonusball this week. On my occasional lurks elsewhere I've seen folk sharing when they've acquired their White Whale. I obsess about LEGO, I have been very lucky and have obtained many of the sets I have wanted in any prolonged way. You could say I've hunted down a fair few White Whales. My…

None of it is factory new, but they all have the boxes with instructions and seem to have all the pieces still. Thanks! 7152-…

My first all time fav is #730 Steam Shovel with Carrier which I received for Christmas 1975. I already had a big box of Samsonite Lego pieces but this set had all kinds of cool new pieces: Hinges, pulley/winch, spoke wheels, and printed bricks. How I loved the little red 1x2 brick with the Lego logo! The Steam Shovel…

Looks like I was wrong about the Y-wing version, definitely looks like a 7262 now with the Vader head. I will now sheepishly suggest that the gray assembly in the 2nd to last photo is part of the AT-AT head from the #4483 .
