It is rare but it does happen, this January for the race truck. #8041 = #42041 #8459 = #8464 = #8439 #8431 = #8460 = #8438

Recently? #8041 and #42041. There IS a difference, but only in the colour of a hidden part or two - and you might get something like that during the lifetime of a set anyway.

Don't forget though, that the same happened with the H1 techincs sets; #42041 was a straight re-release of #8041 , so this is far from unprecedented. As for the the motives? Who knows.
