The seller just posted about this on a FaceBook group, but as it's so rare in this condition, I thought that I'd share it on here. #391 Renault MISB on eBay.

In the 1980s and 1990s I had gotten a large trove of the now rare red and white large spoked wheels with lack tires. The red ones were used in several 1960s/1970s sets, and both red and white ones were found in the 1974-79 Hobby set (only sold in Europe and Australia). The white large spoked wheels are much rarer than the…

For really old cars (and not in Minfig scale)... are the old 1970s Hobby sets of a 1909 Rolls Royce #395, a 1913 Cadillac #390, and a 1926 Renault #391...

From the 1970s - the #391 (1926 Renault) and #392 Formula One car. Saw #392 at last years Great Western Lego Show with a large scale version - brought back memories!!

I forgot to mention that the large white spoked wheels were never found in USA/Canada sets... only the European and Australian 391 (Renault) and 395 (Rolls Royce) Hobby sets of the mid 1970s... http://www.bricklink.com/store.asp?p=istokg&itemID=25375240

Yes agreed about missing set numbers... they were likely used for sets never put into production. With the mid-to-late 1970s (very popular today) Hobby sets... they used numbers 391-398 for the 7 Hobby sets... only 397 was never used. Still wondering what 397 would have been as a rejected Hobby set?

Here's my minifigure collection - I finally got around to framing them. 391 ... so far. I remember when the collectible minifigures first came out, and I said to myself "Who would pay £2.50 for a little plastic figure!?" That was before my girlfriend bought me a handful one Christmas and got me hooked in. What a fool I…

I came out of the dark ages around 2012 and according to Bricklink: I own 561 items; of which 449 are different. BL has piece counts for 391 items I own, which counts as 63,467 pieces. Also, I own 822 minifigs. The part count doesn't include all the bricks that I have bought from the Pick-A-Brick Wall or from Shop.Lego.

It's ironic that some of the sets that folks here love... would not necessarily become big money makers (as has been proven with the legends sets). Some of my favorite old time sets were the Hobby sets of the mid to late 70s (390, 391, 392, 393, 394, 395, 396, 398)... these are sought after today... but were considered…
