Picked up a $55 #31026 Bike Shop at Target tonight and they also had $10 #3841-1 Minotaurus sets as a doorbuster.

Oh forgot to say also got a #3841-1 Minotaurus game today. No box, no dice & no cardboard template but otherwise complete for £1.00.

Popped to the Lego Expo in Wantage this afternoon and saw King Alfred. Did a charity shop trawl and found #3841 Minotaurus game complete for a couple of quid.

A friend said they saw a bunch of LEGO games for sale at Big Lots for $10 each. I checked it out and they had a pile of #3874 Heroica Ilrion and a pile of #3841 Minotaurus sets. Absolutely sounds pretty entitled, but if Minecraft sets hadn't been borne from Ideas and used a regular 3841 pickaxe and a 3626 head, the disapproval threads on here would be massive.

Check your local big lots if you have one near by. I found minotaurus #3841 for $10, heroica # 3874 $10, and the iPhone app brick set $10(i forgot the set number).

The games are good for baseplates - Minotaurus #3841 and Ramses' Pyramid #3843 for example. I guess they are officially EOL but I've still seen them around for under RRP (my TRU has a shelf of Minotaurus). Some of the newer games have the 16x16 plates, too.
