Wow I was way off. Set 709 (not 383) was the early police boat. Also, there was an even earlier wave of floating boats from the early/mid 70s. I had no idea. Set 383 is the old Knights' Tournament. Dunno why that stuck in my head. I knew 383 was old though.

Very early Castle, sets such as #375 and #383

I have a 4x5 plate. #383 Truck with Excavator. In fact, 3-wide doors from the same time period!

#5005255 - 383 want this set #5005257 - 256 want this set #5005256 - 584 want this set (Harry Potter #5005254 - 649 want this set) I think that's about right. HP, then Super Heroes, then Jurassic Park.

Been busy.... but I agree with the Lugnet comments. many early space sets had stickered minifigs. But don't try to determine exact years for when things changed over... that's the problem with TLG... even when things changed (stickered vs. printed), as long as there was old inventory left over... it was used up....…

Well that's blatantly untrue. #383/#6083 had a obvious female. #6023, #6067 and #6060 also had female character. Those might be a little less obvious, but they are clearly female. If you meant the head/torso combos were the first female specific head/torso combos in the Castle, than yes that is true.

383 has the filed down pony tail hair for the king (same as on the 675 box and probably also 361 but I couldn't find a decent pic) They diy shock absorbers on 8860 (which was pretty cool as this was the way I made them back then before getting 8845 - we had no working pens left in the house, haha)

I would love to own the Death Star, but it's still $400. You can buy a large variety of sets with that $400. I don't think price per piece is really as important as play value. For example a lot of older sets from the 80's were less brick heavy than today's sets. A good example is the classic 928-1: Space Cruiser And…

Yep, Samsonite manufactured LEGO bricks in the United States from 1961 to 1972. LEGO opened their own factory in Switzerland in 1971 and their own factory in the US in 1973. https://www.lego.com/en-us/legohistory#manufacturing And for the most parts sets actually DO cost much less than they did back then! Let's rewind…

Thanks. So just some general info then I have sets from the 60s right through to present. Since I bought most of it second hand I have repieced many sets but the number of sets and lack of time and space made it slow so I would say 90 percent of the collection is complete. The last one I purchased was flintstone house and…
