Looks like the suspicion is correct. One Used set sold at $11.99 while 314 New sets have sold at an average of $8.21.

Guys, Popped to Westfield (UK) store yesterday and picked up a few grab bags, thought I would post my haul here so that you guys could consider if you think it is a bargain or not and make a more informed decision on whether to pick one up yourselves. Each bag is £5.85 (you get VIP points as usual) Each bag had over 300…

The U.S. price is without sales tax, but in some places sales tax is 0%. The cheapest place to buy this is Canada, where it is ~$314 USD. Now that the U.S. dollar is very strong and the Canadian dollar and Euro are freefalling, LEGO is comparatively more expensive in the U.S. than almost ever before.

I have several of these from 70s sets (e.g. #314, #363, and #617 ). It's interesting how they were used. They often included brick-built elements (e.g. a 2x2 plate to make them look like they're sitting). The torso and leg pieces are kind of nice from a MOC perspective because I don't believe there is anything else with…

This looks a lot like my childhood collection that I went through last year. Lots of Castle, City, Pirates, Space, and a bit of Fabuland. It quite fun until you realize you have to find somewhere to store it. :) These were the precursor to modern minifigures. I think they appeared in 1975. The one you've shown could be…

Yup, my first minifigs were the un-poseable ones with blank faces as well! I had #314 Police Launch, #617 Cowboys and #147 Refrigerated Wagon that I know of and there are still loads of them, along with some of the old Maxifigs in an box of Lego at my parents' house. Which was raided a long time ago for all of the Classic…

Yes I used my mini digital postal scale so quite accurate but not beyond 0.1g :(((( and so not quite 5.8g (5.xx only) more than Bricklist - or the 312 it says there - another site (maybe Brickset says 314) :( Hence the reason I am stalling ;) I reckon it is just extra normal weight or indeed it should be that weight. I…

Pictures: http://s544.photobucket.com/user/punchb/library/Sell_legos (You can click twice to zoom in.) All sets include manuals (in ok shape but some are a bit crumpled). Only the LEGO Technic sets include the box. There are 24 sets. Of these 4 are not complete, they are missing a few pieces, see below. In addition there…

@Chris23005, as mentioned above, this is going to be from a Fire Boat. I had a Police Boat when I was a nipper and I'm sure the weighted keel came in black. Which reminds me, I must have a look for that when next down at parent's house... Edited to add: Yes, it was this one I…
