#31037 is nice for moving parts, and has been on sale 40% off at Walgreen's recently. #10696 is another I'd be looking at.

31037 has a box error that calls it “Adventure Vehicules.” From what I can recall. They never caught this either. EDIT: Heck even the stock image for the box says so.

I've been surprised by the durability of several of my LEGO creations. The red truck and tracked vehicle in #8863 and the #31037 jeep hold up really well. I do usually try to get a sheet spread out in the play area in case parts fall off while playing.

Bricklink certainly could be cheaper for buying specific parts, but sometimes the discounts are big enough to make it worth buying whole sets just to part them out. I bought several #31037 sets on clearance for under $3 each. I've bought a lot of used games with 32x32 baseplates for $5 or less.

I'd second those 3 for 1 creator boxes, you have three booklets with instructions in the box, plus an extra one on the website, plus a nice set of pieces to make other sets with.
