I just ordered #10293 Santa's Visit and knocked $25 off with VIP points. It's backordered for a few weeks, so I pulled the trigger to hopefully get it around the Thanksgiving holiday weekend.

Sadly my winter village is stuck in storage so no proper display this year. I do have #10293 Santa's Visit on the mantlepiece along with #40484 Santa's Front Yard. #40499 Santa's Sleigh is under the tree and my Lego Santa is keeping watch! (minifigures included for scale) Hopefully have a proper display next year!

I used to feel the same, still do I guess! Would never consider adding lights to any of my permanent display models (when I can display them!) But with most of my Lego in storage in anticipation of moving again soon, I broke and bought my first light kit for #10293 Santa's Visit. Not sure if I'd buy kits for all my Winter…
