25 from Kansas. I just started seriously collecting this past December. It all started with the Millennium Falcon for me when I had some extra cash in my pocket after the holidays. A month later I ordered the Death Star and a true addiction was born. Here's my collection thus far; mostly sets released 2010 and on. I'm very…

Yes, the design work for Jabba's Palace and the Rancor Pit likely started before the conception of the Brickset forum in early 2011. I think the normal cycle for design is about 2 years (according to Jamie Berard), meaning that the sets that are released this year were designed in 2010, and the sets being designed now…

2014 - PR 2013 - PC 2012 - TH 2011 - PS 2010 - GE Next building isn't due until at least January 2015, so I don't see how there would be any concern that this is taking it's spot. There are 2 or 3 "1 off" Creator Expert/Advanced sets each year, this is simply filling one of those slots.

I went with 2008 because most of the sets from that year retired in 2010, which has given it 3 seasons in the aftermarket. Most of the 2010 sets have only had 1 or 2 holiday seasons. I just took a cursory glance at all sets from 2010 that are retired and are $100+ (I left off 7939 and 7938 since they just retired this…

I came out of the Dark Ages with the City Corner in July of 2010. I went to the Tigard, OR LEGO Store with my wife and at the time 2 month old son and came out with the City Corner. I was thrilled. Growing up I always wanted to build a massive city, just never had enough pieces to be satisfied with it. Anyways about 2…

Looks like the MBS is out of stock at
[email protected] Korea, that thing is expansive for about $75. Good news is that they still have 10197 and 10230 in stock, limit 2. 10229 is only temporarily out of stock. I remembered vividly back in Jan, 2010
[email protected] Korea had loads of 10189 in stock but I had no means to buy them. :(

I've been wanting to make a large purchase to get some sets I've wanted for a while, but I was going to wait until the next Double VIP event. While trying to guestimate when it might be, I put together this little chart that others may find useful. It's not complete, but it's a start (All of these promotions included the…

I need to make room (and cash) for new Ep7 sets so having a clear out of unwanted sets I have collected via bulk buys. All sets are in a played with condition but I have tried to replace any damaged or dis-coloured parts. Unless stated none of the sets have their boxes but all have correct mini figures. Some sets I have…
