^ And $300 new, which is triple RRP. :( I actually had one set aside to build, but sold it a few months ago for $270, just couldn't break it open to build at that price. Another one will be done, perhaps not motorized, but sometime in the next few years, another one will be done.

I was at the Barnes and Noble in Tyson's Corner, VA on Friday and they had the Architecture Studio out on the shelves for sale. It had 1210 pieces white pieces, a 270 page inspiration booklet, and numerous sorting trays in the box. I was going to pick it up until I saw the price: $149.95 .

Here in the UK you can no longer buy boxes of parts; you have to fill the tubs instead. Last I heard (about 2 weeks ago), a lot of the elements were out of stock, and there were only about 80 of the 270 possible elements that were available to order.

Black Friday was actually a good time to "prepare" for this or any exclusive set purchase with Target offering 10% off their Gift Card. You could get $300 of GC for $270, then the 5% off from Red Card, add also any % from affiliate. @doriansdad gave a detailed in this post.

^It was indeed $270 when current and new. A new set is above $900 now, with used between $500-$750. Every retired UCS set in used condition (except 10215) is above its original retail price. So if he has any more at similar prices, you can't go wrong.

The last one was £350 RRP and I got mine for £270 (remember retirement discounts?) How much better would they remake it to justify a probable £700 price tag in 2022 I wonder? Any rumours on 2022 UCS yet? As the repository are the normal now, I'd expect the next OT one to be Vader's Tie Fighter or AT-ST.

In the short term as the supply increases, prices may drop. In the long term, prices will continue to climb like any others. What is the price history and availability of the first BLDP sets? eBay has two Science Towers sold for around $140 and three for sale around $270. Not great for a $130 set. No matter, I'm keeping…

Some guy with zero feedback just posted nine 10188 Death Stars for $270 each, with free express postage to boot. That's just over a third of their Aus retail price. There are no images to speak of. Worth risking it? http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=271229313989 How easy is it to get back your money if…
