Oh, BTW I DID go into Prime Day with a $750 set budget (which if there were bargains to be had MAY have been blown). Ive just giggled to myself reading that back - imagine if you told someone 10-15 years ago that you had that big a set budget - you'd be buying multiples of everything released for the year!

I dont think Mines of Moria was a dud. Purchased one on sale for $63 from amazon and sold the minifigs for $53 (and still have the skeletons) and probably could've gotten more if I was just a little patient. $10 isn't bad for 750 pieces :) Hopefully they put this on sale again soon so I can get a few more.

Just parted out 2 #70318 and 3 #41117. that's all I have time for right now, but nearly cleared my Not Yet Listed backlog - only 3 #41142 and a #70319 left, plus all the orders I have incoming. currently down about $75 for the year with inventory up about $750, plus orders not yet paid for

Ebay and Paypal need to be checked, but last I heard the only items that require a signature to be protected are over 750 USD now if I am not mistaken, but again check eBay and Paypals policies. Signature does not hurt if the person is at a PO box or in an apartment complex, but it just costs you more, unless you charged…

Not very much. The exact same figure was released at the X-Wing event in 2013 (the year there weren't really any LEGO exclusives at NYCC). I think the last ones that were on eBay were going for about $750. I say "Not very much", because I'm comparing it to other items limited to 125 units... but still, a fair chunk of…

^ I had not seen that one, #7676 Republic Attack Gunship I think. I also see #7789 Lotso's Dump Truck hiding in there. $995 AUD seems well worth it to me, although it never hurts to negotiate if you can of course. Having taken a quick look at eBay, the Bulldozer and MTT alone seem to be getting up to around $750 AUD in…

^ I used the li-po batteries for my train layout at shows. I got into Lego trains long after the 9V was discontinued, and as I have over 750 pieces of straight track, paying upwards of £2 per piece for the 9V would have been far too expensive, and therefore I consider myself 'sane' for using the PF li-po battery instead.

That's a very good point that I didn't consider, volume means a lot to a business. I was looking at it as a fan as opposed to something that made business sense. If it was $500 back in 2007 the cost for the same exact set would be maybe $750 - $1000. And if they scaled it back to be $500 again I'm not sure I'd like it as…

Sell it. It's just a small box filled with plastic! Or: would you BUY it for $750 or whatever you get from selling it? If not then clearly you value the money more than the set. Put it another way - realistically what's the most you would pay for that set? If you can find someone who would pay (much) more then you should…

Now that the ball's rolling, I'll drop the other shoe. I need to make back $750 after fees, etc. to cover the original Market Street purchase and an additional purchase for my kiddos that I am keeping. Still think Market Street can do that for me in 12 months? Except for a couple of squirrely auctions, it looks like Taj…
