Hi Chanboy, for the time being, I'd like to sell as a job jot. Listed on ebay now, offers around £270 for collection. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/180889346950?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1558.l2649#ht_500wt_1091

I understand, but it seems logic would generally be more prevalent in financial decisions. It's not the "getting a deal" that confuses me, it's going into a situation prepared to spend $270 but instead spending only $150 because $300 is "too much".

So finally got Arsenal, Sam Wilson the mask for $270. More than I wanted to pay but at least I have them!! Now to focus on the superman set...... Any advice on a "good" price for superman set??

New ones go for about £270-300, pretty much around the old RRP. I doubt they will ever go much higher than about £350 while the new one (or any future new ones) are available.

Just "found" that I also have a #10237 Tower of Orthanc, I it got 2nd hand from another collector for stock and forgot about it. I built it to check everything was there at the time. It's in nice condition with the instructions, but no box unfortunately. £270 ono?

Your comment prompted me to check Rebrickable, looks like I've got 95.4% of the parts (missing 270 in 6 unique parts). Don't think I'll start building it, though, as the parts are all from my set collection.

I had no idea how many LEGO books there were - Hive currently has 270 different ones (in stock!) http://www.hive.co.uk/Search/Books/In-Stock?Keyword=lego&sort=PriceAsc&ipp=24&fq=01120-4260

Puzzles me as to why one of these just went on eBay for $270 + $30 shipping. 2 days ago one went for $190 + $18 shipping which makes sense. But why pay more than retail when this is readily available on Lego.com?

Oh the irony - 270 is the great pride of my small Homemaker collection. It's the only one I have MISB. I love the lack of visible studs and the general simplicity of the set and box design. Haven't read those Dave... will take a peep!

@Dougout - It looks like so, though I'd then have to pay ~75$ (per usps.com prices) to ship it to the UK and import VAT (another 20% I guess) which if I did the calculations right would then result in ~270$ which is ~170£ again. :(
