I'm currently piecemealing 10173 Holiday Train. A tool I found useful is BrickLink allows for you to add the inventory of the set to a "Wanted List." Now whatever store I look at i'm able to see how many different pieces they have that I need for the train. I am very eager to get my first 3 shipments of pieces within the…

Hi! I am looking for somebody that has the 1st book of the Holiday Train Instructions. I was wondering if they could scan the pages for the passenger car for me. I am looking at the PDF provided by LEGO and I cannot make out some of the black pieces. If anyone could help, that would be great! Thank you, Kyle

@ktsam If you just want to put a 10173 together and put it on track without power you will probably have to go to Bricklink and piece it together from scratch. You should buy the Power Functions track from either Lego, Bricklink or Ebay. Keep in mind that the original instructions are $60 to $80 on Ebay.

I just finished selling the last of my Toy Shops. I don't think I am going to stock up on Bakeries. The Toy Shop was cool and the first in the series (if you don't count 10173). The Bakery just did not impress me like the Toy Shop so I think I will pass.

That window that @Pitfall69 has listed is the only window listed in the BL inventory period. There is no alternate part from BL. You can put glass in the frame, it has the holes for it. That and it is the same part in the #10183 Hobby Train and the #10173 Holiday Train. So yes, it would be wrong.

I'm very intrigued by the tram, but I don't think I have room for more rails!! The train sets are so big! On a plus note I'm a very excited bunny. I just won an auction for the Holiday train http://www.brickset.com/detail/?set=10173-1 on ebay. This is one of the first sets I saw online when I came out of the dark ages, and…

Also, was lucky enough to purchase a #10173 Holiday Train for $34 on eBay, which has to be one of my better finds. Comes 100% complete with an excellent condition box and instructions. Excited to potentially put it around the Christmas tree next year... hopefully this doesn't lead to me being tempted to purchase the rest…

Kinda surprised I haven't seen any 10173 Holiday Trains on here. It would look so great with the rest of the Winter Village sets, but I was still far from being out of my dark ages at that point, so not really a regret, I suppose. I had 8038 purchased off ebay for about $55 a couple years ago, but the seller never…
