I would say that the BOGO stuff was up online for about 2-3 days (judging by the number of items sold in that time period on eBay) before taking it down, so I doubt it was solely based on the Forum here. Also If you notice TRUs feedback it is not great... People complaining about orders being cancelled and boxes beat up…

I picked up a used Shuttle Adventure #10213 for £75 its complete and with instructions. I am wondering if I should get a box...the cheapest I could get on bricklink is 25 euro (including postage from germany). Is it worth the expense of getting a box? Would it significantly improve the future resale price?

I had originally sent this e-mail to Huw, and he suggested that I'll post it here. Note that this is NOT the same as applying the LEGO-delivered fix to the 10213 Shuttle Adventure, which simply reinforced the tank (poorly, IMHO). This is a complete conversion from one shuttle to another. Get the building instructions from…

Huge lot of LEGO sets in great condition! Pictures of all the sets are posted except for the Race Rider and Imperial Dropship. I am in the US and won't ship to other country's. Price is $350.00 including shipping. All of the sets include the Minifigs and the instructions unless stated otherwise in the description. No boxes…

#10213 was released but found to have stability problems. Rather than a service pack, TLG decided to later release #10231. Whereas the latter is definitely more stable for playability, it has been argued that perhaps #10213 is the better looking of the two for displaying.

@Novelty Nice list, don't think I have seen you on here before, if not, welcome. Can I ask, have you many (any) of these sets? I am looking to get a Shuttle for 2 reasons, one for semi educational reasons so that I can show my son and discuss what it is, does, etc and secondly as a display piece. I am assuming the 10231…

It's tough to summarize it because the program goals itself are not well defined and have morphed somewhat over time. But I do think your request for examples is the best way to demystify it, so here is a smattering of examples: 1. Community -> LEGO ( and then back -> Community) Stability issues with 10213 Shuttle…

@ goosebogey. I have been considering this set for a Moonraker MOC. I know comparisons are generaly frowned upon on the site, but I would be interested to get a view from anybody who owns both 10231 and 10213. Which set is better? They look so similar!!! Rich

Si, I wouldn't bother waiting 10 years. Depending on what you buy there have been some very good returns on recent sales items. I have decided to do something similar to you, for my kids. I buy and sell sets and any profit goes into their savings acc. The set up capital is then used to buy more sets for resale. 10 years is…
